Everline Fence (“we”, “us”) installs residential and commercial fencing across the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through everlinefence.com. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

The short version: we collect what we need to quote your fence and get back to you. We don’t sell it, we won’t use your contact details to advertise to you, and we don’t share it with anyone who isn’t helping us run the business.

What we collect

When you request a quote

• Your name, email address and phone number
• The address of the property you want fenced
• Details of the fence you’re asking about — material, approximate length, height, number of gates, and any add-ons you select

When you send us a message

• Your name, email address and phone number
• What you’re interested in, and whatever you write in the message

Collected automatically

• Your IP address, used only to limit how many times the same connection can submit a form. It is stored in scrambled (hashed) form, never linked to your enquiry, and deleted automatically after one hour.
• Standard web server logs kept by our hosting provider, which record requests to the site in the ordinary course of running it.
• How you arrived — if you reach us from one of our ads or a link, we record the campaign and referring page your visit came from (including the Google or Facebook ad-click identifier, where there is one). It’s stored in your browser and attached to your enquiry so we can see which of our own marketing is working. We don’t use it to follow you across other websites.

We don’t use third-party advertising networks to follow you around the web or build a profile of you across other sites. Apart from the arrival details above, the only things this site stores in your browser are the functional cookies WordPress and our security and caching software need to work.

We don’t knowingly collect information from children, and nothing on this site is directed at them.

Why we collect it

Only to do the thing you contacted us about:

• To reply to your enquiry
• To prepare an estimate and arrange a free on-site measurement
• To carry out the work if you go ahead, and to keep a record of it
• To protect the site from spam and abuse
• To understand which of our own marketing brought your enquiry

We will not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote. If we ever want to send you something else, we’ll ask first — as Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires.

Who else sees it

We don’t sell or rent personal information. Ever. We share it only with the services we use to run the business:

• Google Workspace — hosts our info@everlinefence.com mailbox, so your enquiry arrives there
• Slack — sends the team an internal notification so quotes get answered quickly
• Hostinger — hosts this website

These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Some of them store data on servers outside Canada, which means it may be subject to the laws of those countries.

We would only disclose information beyond this if the law required it, or if it were necessary to protect someone’s safety or our legal rights.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up, honour warranty and service history, and meet our record-keeping obligations. Where you become a customer, project and financial records are kept for as long as Canadian tax and business law requires. After that, information is deleted.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Form submissions are validated and rate-limited, access to the mailbox is protected by two-factor authentication, and only the people who need to see your enquiry can. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and keep the site patched and monitored.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you can, at any time:

• Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy
• Correct anything that’s wrong
• Ask us to delete it, where we’re not required to keep it
• Withdraw your consent to being contacted

Email info@everlinefence.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. There’s no charge.

If you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Links to other sites

This site links to manufacturers and municipal by-law pages. We don’t control those sites and this policy doesn’t cover them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear.
